I see in the MM sales brochure that factory 0-60 times are about 6.5 seconds.

My timeslip is linked in my Signature and for the 1/4 mile is 14.02 seconds

This year, the hatch reached 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, which is exactly as quick as last year's model. It completed the quarter mile in 14.1 seconds at 99.9 mph - -- Mazada3 Turbo Motor Trend -- http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/hatchbacks/112_0911_2010_mazda_mazdaspeed 3_test/performance.html

My 1/4 mile time is 14.02 (one tenth faster than the Mazada 3 turbo -- above car) So my 0-60 time should be around 5.6 seconds also right?

Can it be calculated from a 1/4 timeslip? Thanks, just curious.

There will be arguments in both directions...so i will step on my d*** and say yes...but only because your car is basically stock....

no way a primarily stock mm does 6.5 in 0-60. 7sec. maybee more like 7.3

"Mid 6 sec" figure came right off the marketing spec sheet.

best calculators are the ones based on 1/8 mile numbers

http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

That one seems to do ok, 5sec 0-60 cars tend to be 13.5 1/4 mile cars, using the the 1/8 mile specs from a few different 13.5 1/4mile cars on the slips page made the numbers come out pretty close to 5.

It also says mine is 3.2sec to 60, so it might be a little off as cars get faster.

My 1/8 mile time - 9.0301
My 1/8 mile speed - 79.20

I knew as soon as I posted a yes vote there would be someone around the corner to post a no vote.....you don't find that kind of balance anywhere else.....

It's not necessarely linear.

That's why the 1/8 mile calculators seem to be closer than the 1/4 mile. They seem to be a bit off too though, but not as bad as the ones that use 1/4 mile

I did a 14.1@99mph at 8psi, now running 9psi, I am probably in the low 5's for a 0-60...
