Don't know if anyone has done it before but I manage to make a IC pump bracket using the fuel filter bracket37812originally the pump was to big so I used a hammer on the back of the bracket and widen it a bit so the pump fit snug into it37813 just paint it and your done37814378153781637817

Ughhh, Does anyone know what kind/size bolts the blower needs to connect the plenum elbow to it? I can't find any information to these bolts anywhere, seems they are threaded straight through, (no bolt head.)

I have the other bolts sizes except for these and it is frustrating me now. Thanks.

Nothing special about the bolts I'm sure you can find at your local hardware store. Their also the same bolts Ford uses on the exhaust manifold studs.

IIRC They are simply 8MM studs.

8MM 1.25. Not sure on the length. Here is a SS option:

Thanks Lji372, I know the bracket needed to run the #6 lower, trying to figure out exactly why we need to use these instead of the normal ones is is belt slippage?

JLT will not work after eaton swap, you could possibly buy a cobra JLT to use after the swap.

Or find a stock cobra intake tube, that's what myself and alot of other eaton swappers have:beer:

Thanks, but here's another question :o I need a crank pully kit but I'm confused with these tow pulleys!
One is for F-150 Lighting (http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-04-F-150-Lightning-Metco-6-8lb-quick-change-lower-supercharger-crank-pulley/291255796413?_trksid=p2047675. c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo% 3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D201 31003132420%26meid%3D8bf11faa8 8df49b0ba8e3372d0647a81%26pid% 3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26 sd%3D310844540332&rt=nc) and the other is for the Cobra (http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-04-Cobra-Metco-2-4lb-6-8lb-quick-change-lower-supercharger-crank-pulley-kit-/310844540332?pt=Motors_Car_Tru ck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item485fc745ac&vxp=mtr) !!

Is there's a different ? I see the diffrent only in some metal pieces, Is that really matter ? I already have the upper pulley BTW.

Sorry for asking again and again but I search and couldn't find an answer for it

Thanks

For anyone that gets the full, high HP Eaton bracket from Jerry, there is an additional pulley on the back of the bracket that the accessory belt runs up and over. The belt I used is: 6PK2540 or a 6rib 100.75" belt.

P.S. If anyone ever runs a 6lb Lower and 3.0/2.93 Upper with this:
K080550HD Green Stripe works great

Guys I can't understand what pulley I need for the eaton swap ?
Is the stock idler smooth pulley OK ?
Do I need to change the alternator pulley to ribbed one or install it backward ?
Is the stock Belt tensioner OK ? or need the ribbed one too ?

I'm really confused about the pulleys I already got the upper and the lower pulley.
Sorry for asking too much I'm in the last process to complete my eaton swap parts

I just picked up a low mile M112 along with the ,TB,intake tube, fuel rail, factory injectors, factory cobra fuel pump not sure if it fits our cars.
Over the next few months I'll gather up what's missing and plan my install when the parts list is complete.if any one has a lead on a intake manifold or any other parts feel free to private message me.

I've noticed those kits typically have pieces that you wouldn't need for a Marauder. Also, you might want different options from a typical kit that you can still use, i.e. you might want to go with 60/lb. fuel injectors rather than the cobra OEM takeoffs, or blower pulley. You can always sell the parts that you wouldn't use from a kit though, but do you want to go through that trouble also?

Do the research people. The information is out there. There is no "kit" you make your own parts work!

I believe an inch or so on each side needs to be removed.

Do yourself a favor and spend the coin on Jerry's COT. I had a buddy modify my stock COT it leaked every time. After the 3rd or 4th attempt we got it to seal. Good luck. I recommend pressure testing it prior to installing.

justbob
06-23-2021, 02:43 PM
One of the biggest issues with modifying is overheating the sealer the factory used for the sensor holes. Once that’s melted you’re into a project. If you insist on doing it I’d suggest TIG only.

I am using this thread as my Bible for parts acquisition. Most hard parts are already on the shelf. I still need the heat exchanger, fuel pump, injectors, drive pulley, and ALL the hardware and soft parts. I am maybe 85% of the way there but in no hurry as she gets driven ~1,000 miles a year. There's some confusion but likely because I try to overthink this stuff. I give it maybe a year before I tear down and begin. My time is pretty occupied doing a kitchen remodel. However, I visit this thread frequently. While that far down and only 54K miles, I will do tensioners/guides, cam cover gaskets (because a polished set of spare ones are going on), and rear cooling mod. I will need to replace my Steeda UD crank pulley with OEM and will probably just pick a member that wants mine free and pay it forward because I surrendered mine during a Trilogy install party with The Three Stooges.

We have to start deleting some of these posts before everyone gets discouraged to do this.

Hahaha, truth there! I just started doing mine and read EVERY response on every page. So many removed pics, obsolete parts, and bad hyperlinks. It is interesting to read for sure but even as skilled as I am, there's a LOT OF pictures I'd love to see. A lot of pictures will be taken when I do mine and hopefully I will be able to pass the torch and help the next guy. In reality, I learned a lot and had a lot of questions answered by paying attention. Even with so much info covered and attention to so many aspects of the swap, I still don't know what MAFIA means, where to wire the IAT sensor, pros and cons of deleting the EGR, and what battery tray to use if I choose a 65 battery instead of a 58. I am sure those will be addressed as I move forward.

justbob
03-09-2022, 04:12 PM
MAFia - A MAF extender as stock maxes out at 5V. Some tunes require, some don’t.

IAT wiring - Both grey wires (first and last wire) get snipped of the MAF harness and relocated to the now separate IAT sensor post blower. It doesn’t matter which goes to which.

EGR - No real real gains in deleting besides cleaning up the engine bay. The only emission device I still had was cats, everything else was shut off and removed. I went without for a year or so and my god the car stink was rank!

Battery tray I have no clue. I used an Optima RED35 and shortened down a billet battery tray and hold down I bought to get it to fit.

You are a rockstar! I work at a Ford dealer and I am going as OE as possible on the install and parts. Only Motorcraft hardware and clamps. It's easy to get to the last 10% and suddenly there's a handful of awkward bolts and hose clamps. The blower is coming apart to be inspected and serviced. At such time it and my spare set of cam covers are getting powdercoated to emulate polished aluminum. I am down to a handful of big parts including the fuel pump, injectors, and AFR gauge. I searched for each part one by one to determine availability or obsolescence. After 16 years of ownership and only 54K on the clock - it's finally time.
