Over 5 months out and finally back to work!

I was laid off on September 11th of last year (of all the days huh?) and have been out of work since then... until now!!!

I interviewed at a glass company yesterday that does auto, residential, and commercial glass. My last job I was working at a commercial glass company as an estimator bidding on jobs in upwards of 5.5 million dollars. At the interview yesterday they asked how I organized my bids and proposals at my last job and they loved me! How do I know? Because I am typing this from MY OFFICE DESK! I am so happy to be back to work and don't have to worry as much about money and searching for work. At my last job I was one of two estimators, but here I am THE COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR. I am a bit nervous because at my last job the work load was overwhelming with 2 estimators. Here I am the only one! Long work days here I come!

Thanks guys! I have been making an effort to be more active on the site, but I think this workload is going to keep me plenty busy! I won't forget about my marauder brothers though! haha... By the way, I don't have a wife to spend my money yet, instead I have a great girl that I enjoy spending money on! We will see if that shoe ever changes foot to her spending my money though! hahaha

By the way, here is a pic of my girlfriend who is a beautiful person both inside and outside! I have never been happier with any other girl!

Being unemployed was definitely an eye opener! When I was unemployed hearing people complain about their job was starting to piss me off. I would tell people to be thankful they even had a job! The few months off was nice collecting money for a bit, but I am ready to get back to work and this company is really impressed with me. They asked when I could start right after I got done answering their question "What did you do at your last job. They were really impressed and I was in my office with my new e-mail address the next morning!

It is good to be employed!

Congrats TJ, I have been there before and still know several guys who were laid off last year from my company still looking for work. Never a fun situation after the 1st week or 2.

I have actually interviewed at a couple places over the last year or so. I turned down a couple of offers and then sent people I knew over there to apply instead. Figure I have a job even if I don't like it for now I know people who can't pay their bills. So far I have put 8 people who got laid off from my company back to work at other places where I looked or knew someone.
