It does look nice Zack.

We tried this process a few years back. We had fuel rail covers chromed for the Firehawk. After a couple of weeks and a drive MD to Ohio, opened the hood to yellow looking crap. Stuff worked if the part wasn't heated up or in the direct sun.

I hope this process is better than that or at least has been improved since.

I can actually talk a lot about this product since my father and I own a business that uses the same process. This product isn't meant for high temps. Recommended max is 200 degrees farenheit. But it's a totally awesome process. You can literally "chrome" ANYTHING you can spray the basecoat on. If any one is interested in knowing how the process works more, just let me know!

Cost is dependent on the size and condition of the parts. The bigger or in poorer condition it's in, the more it's gonna cost. Think of it in terms of getting a paint job, because in essence that's what the process is.

Basically the process goes like this: Primer, a specialized basecoat, then the metal coating and a clearcoat. Once the metal is applied it does not come off at all, it doesn't chip scratch or peel because it's chemically bonded. Now the clearcoast obviously will scratch but you'll never have to worry about it peeling like a real chroming would.

I can tell you that we're not just limited to chrome color. Any color you want to match whatever, we can make. If you want your leftover pizza from last night chromed, we can do that. We can do baby shoes, furniture...just about anything you could imagine we can do! As for maintenance, since it's clearcoated, you would maintain it just like paint. A nice coat of wax or polish, some quick detailer and you'd be good to go. Anything else you'd like to know?

I would recommend using the clear only because without it the coating appears to have a slight goldish tint when compared to a standard chrome piece. But to answer your question, yes. It can be good, but not great.

Currently our services do not include powder coating. We can make the chrome hues in blues, reds, purples, blacks, golds, greens. Name your color and we can do it!

Everything but the primer is proprietary. The clearcoat is a normal clear but has to be tinted a special way to get a chrome apperance, otherwise it would look like the nickel plating you'd see under a layer of actual chrome.
