Went to the gun show today not planning to buy anything but for the past year or so Ive been sorta looking for a nice .357 wheelgun like my old service S&W Model 19. Anyway, a gun caught my eye today and I had to have it; a new in the box High Standard Sentinel Mark III with a 2.5 inch barrel. Never shot, shiny brand new even though it was made in 1974. If you are familiar with Dan Wessons, its the same gun as a DW Model 15. In fact, the Mark II and Mark III's were made by Dan Wesson for High Standard. Barrels are interchangeable too. Paid too much but what the hell. Ill post a pic later. My new nightstand gun!

That's where you made your first mistake. But you're not alone.

Thanks, I saw that online today. There is an identical copy of the manual in the box, I think you can see it in the photo.

Hey Jim;

I'm riding with a gentleman tomorrow that wheels and deals in small firearms.

I'll bet he will positively salivate when I tell him you bought one. I'll ask him what's the book value. He's got like 500 pistols and some assault guns (rifles?). He buys, trades and sells these weapons.

What the heck, I'll call him right now.

OK, Herb said you bought a mighty fine gun. Price should be from $260 (98%) to $300 (100%).

He knows it was made by Dan Wesson. Should be blue and not nickle for a MK III.

Great accessory for your night stand he says.
