Ask for Henry Shin (Korean Henry) tell him Chris Newman from Drager sent you. He used to be a client of mine and did the bodywork/paint on my 89 Mustang, perfectly matched my custom mixed 1996 Viper GTS blue pearl paint that was already on the car. Academy Ford also did the original re-paint of my 89 Mustang, only two places I would take my cars if I was paying out of pocket for.

Ask to see examples of thier work and see if you can talk to a customer or 2 of your chosing to see how they feel about it.

Check with the BBB and see if there is any complants listed against them.

Bring the car and ask for an estimate and tell them what your looking for.

Belong to a car club localy ask them if they know of a good place.

Oh and don't get regular black, get Black metallic, swirl marks will be less shown then!! lol

Maaco! $200 and yes that it include the clear code, But they wont sand your car.

Maaco painted my crown vic, and actually did a damn good job. Mind you I had no dents or rust so no bodywork needed to be done.

I payed extra for machine sanding - Color and clearcoat ended up costing a total of 650$ and looks great. Little to no orange peel, and it's warrantied for 3 years. I cheaped out and didn't get my door jambs painted :P but who cares.

At the car show yesterday I noticed the Ford and Lincolns in metallic black have real tiny green and purple flakes in it. Actually looks pretty nice.

Taking my car in the morning to Academy Ford in Laurel for a price on a paint job. Thx for the advice. Car just has scratches on it (some kid I guess with a rock) and to have some the bling I have bought for the car installed after the paint (hood and trunk emblem of Mercury Godhead).
