Old Guy gets Job !!!

Yeah Me, I got laid off Oct 2009 and have been out of job. It was the first time, since I was 14 years old I wasn't working for someone someplace.
I had a interview with Home Depot in February and after a couple more interviews I received a call monday 3/1/2010. I have to go thru quite of bit of orientation and computer training but thats Ok.
I can't wait to get started! I'm going to be assigned to the Pro Sales desk. I have sold industrial hardware and tools for 20 years so I should be right at home .
Another awesome thing is that the store is only about a mile an a half from our house. :thanks::drool:

Congrats. Most people I've talked to who have worked at HD really liked it.

I'm starting to see a few more jobs posted in my field lately, so maybe things are starting to pick up. I've been unemployed since the end of July, ready to go back to work.

I'm now 67, and I was dumped late 2007 at age 64.

Hard to believe that I'm still collecting unemployment since then, although not constantly.

Unfortunately, being an IT Facilities Project Manager and, prior to that, a Telecommunications Manager/AVP for 20 years, technology has now moved way beyond what I knew.
