Looking at the trunk pic, I am seeing some strange stuff in the area below where the rear speakers would be, looks like tanks or something with hydraulic lines?
Anyone know what these are? I'm just curious......

HMM, I didn't know there was a desert in St. Petersburg. I though it was a federal crime to remove all air pollution devices(ie: cats). I would think that someone who purchases this in an area with emission testing would have a real problem :) That being said, I would love to have it

I just looked up my old info when the school was selling these cars. It was from 2006 and they could be bought for under $10,000. They were in good condition but all most every single car's paint was toast! The mustang cobra's could be had for around 13k.

Ugh, that front bumper is so hideous!

That same car has been on ebay several times, in the last few years. I wonder why it keeps coming back to ebay?

That is a fuel cell in the trunk. Interior look beat to hell. Not big on the race rope windows either. It's worth 7K tops. I do like the wheels anyone got an ID on those are they replicas?

you would pay 12 grand for that P.O.S hell you could buy a marauder for that, that cobra motor is not even supercharged. I would assume you were being sarcastic. would maybe pay 3 grand for the motor and tell im to keep the rest of the junk.

Seems weird that they would go through all that trouble when it would be alot easier and cheaper, and probably just as effective to just use Mustangs...

I thought it was a battery in the trunk.

That front bumper is butt ugly, but I still wouldn't mind owning one.

I'd give a grand for it, yank the motor, scrap the rest.

It's got a VIN from an ex police car - obviously the guy did a VINectomy on an old cop car. That, and the admisison of removing the catalytic converters seems to me like an admission of breaking federal law - right there on E-bay.

I'd love to have a manual panther car, but something just tells me to stay away from this one.

boom! 18g

One day left to go.

Not sure where this will land. I am all ready impressed with the amount of $ it has received.

The point was never really the engine setup, I think the SINGLE largest draw to this car was the reliable standard swap.

The part that I'm not quite sure I understand is how it'd be completely impossible to get this thing titled for street use in some form (without swapping vins, I'm talking pure legitimate.) If someone put the time and effort into it, couldn't they try to get it titled like a kit car? All the proper lighting, emissions, safety and such to be considered a legal road-going car?

After you remove the factory engine and replace it with any other engine that was not ever available in that vehicle, doesn't that violate federal law as well? as well as the vin, and ant tampering with factory emissions?

They did not worry about law because the car was never intended to be driven on public roads. It is considered "Off Road Use Only".

Some of them have been able to get a title, it depends on the state.

I don't even think the VIN on the title is to the original Rousch car - I think someone got an old P71 and "used parts from the Rousch car to "fix" it" That is - jacked up the VIN plate and drove in the Roush car.

That's one way to get a title for a purpose-built race car.

Has anyone done a Carfax or similar report on that VIN to see for sure?
