Just re-enlisted saturday for 6 more years.
I already have over 7.5 years in and I love my job. I don't think it gets much better.
Plus I have 15,000 reasons to re-enlist! :D

15,000 reasons eh? Was that your sign on bonus? I as well re-enlisted this fiscal year for another 5 years. (i have seven in now) I also got a hefty bonus and the way the economy is at this point it was the best decision for me. What service? Good luck, and keep your head down!

Ah i see, a prop'er

We share the flight line with C one-dirty boys (Dyess, AFB)

In fact i just came from AMC. I was in dover for almost 6 years (c-5, c-17) So i know all about the cargo/drop/troop movement mission (im an ex-a/r shop guy on them) and how it stretches you.

I like ACC now that im in it. ;)

Hope to bump into you one day.

I'm not sure, but I become eligible in September for Tech.
The one thing i like about my plane is the fact that:
-I can actually travel with my plane
-It's slow. It takes longer to get places which means more stops and more places to see.
-It can get shot up, start on fire and land with 1 engine running.
-It can land on an aircraft carrier.
-Dirt roads can become runways

I think it's awesome.

If you were still in airlift, I'd say to go to the ATA convention. That was awesome!!

Congrats on your service and good luck on your reup. The military has treated my son Matt very well (USNA '06) - he is a Navy LT. flying SH-60 helos in antisubmarine warfare. The Navy even paid for his Master degree as well as paying him his full salary. Chris is waiting for Army OCS to start. Many benefits in the military.

Good luck and thanks for serving your country.

Im done my fare share of traveling on cargo slugs.... (although the C-5 IS the most comfortable of the bunch) I enjoy the ACC mission. I like the Airshows. I like the "war games" in Vegas. I like that my plane has after burners (Aug Burners) :) The pace is different then AMC and its enjoyable because i like to stay busy. Soon though i will be an expediter and will have to drive truck instead. :(

I hope you always return home in one peace and never feel unapreciated!

Congratulations, don't spend it all in one place. Looks like by the time this enlistment is over you'll only have 6 years left until 20. With 3 left myself, I'm still trying to figure out where the time went.
