Hey guys, I usually ask questions like this on CVN, but they frown upon removing emissions equipment (like a catalytic converter...) but say that someone wanted to remove 2 out of the 4 catalytic converters, the rear set, what would have to be put in their place? just some 2" diameter pipe?
Thanks in advance fellas

yup, but depending on the condition of the front 2 converters you may still trip your cel.

I'd take out all the cats and replace them with 2 hi-flo cats.
The MM will pass emission tests with just 2 hi-flo cats installed.
If your just removing 2 of the cats you'll have to do it yourself or find a "friendly" exhaust shop.

well he owns an auto shop and offered to help me do it. or rather, i asked him if he could do it and teach me how, but i kinda like to have a rough idea of what we'll be doing before we do it :) The plan is to cut the rear set of cats out and replace the mufflers with some off a 2003 Mustang GT, then weld some new tips on
