So im looking for some stuff today and didnt find what i was looking for so the guy up front on my way out asked "did you find what you were looking for?" i said "no" He said "for what car?" i responded with "A mercury marauder" He asked, "the 390hp version?"....... I paused...... answered with a "what? :confused:" he said "ya know, the special cop version with 390 hp/ 390lbtq" i stood there with a dumbfounded look on my face, and before i could even disagree he says "yeah i figured you would know a little more about your car" (what an *******) he goes on with, "it was a special edition for the cops in florida, only in florida, it came with a super charged cobra motor in them, and i think some had NOS!" I looked at him like a total idiot, and all sorts of stuff was running through my head of what to say back, but i realized that it wasnt worth my time and effort and i responded "well thats good to know" and walked out..... lol

Sometimes you meet people where their degree of ignorance is dumbfounding in its own right. That kind of stupid just can't be fixed. ;)

That's funny for sure. I get all sorts of stats thrown at me for my 87 GN from some clowns. Before putting my MM away while filling the tank, guy at pump next to me says "looks like your Crown Vic is on steroids"

I always correct people no matter how stupid they sound. Time to time I still must correct a Marauder owner that we have Mach 1 engines, not Cobra. There is a lot I don't know about cars, but for what I do I like to spread the knowledge. Lot's of times I can learn from others even if it's a car I am not fond of, I'll still listen and hear that they have to say about it. I have never come across a "Ricer" that wasn't intersting to talk to nor have they ever bashed my car. If you give them respect they give it right back to you, like any human would.
