Spoke to John last night when info was posted in the other thread. He sounded good and was waiting on delivery of his laptop so he could get on line with MM.Net. He said he was scheduled into the Catherization Lab some time today. Hope a stent will take care of the problem. Thoughts and prayers for John and Linda as he works his way through this episode.

He is still maintaining his sense of humor too. The doctor had him on an IV drip. He say's that "he is so full of Nitro .... that he could whip DOOM even WITHOUT his car."

They can do a lot now a days and proceedures are much safer and better now and much less intrusive and noticable.

Let the doctors do thier jobs and listen to them so all will be well!

Take care and I hope your home soon with your family!

Being stuck in one possition with either the clamp or the sand bag sitting on your femeral artery making sure it seals up and dosn't cause a large hematoma.

Been there done that and I am sure he will be cranky by the time they take it off and let him move around again!

But glad he is recovering okay and it was not too major a situation!

O' Grasshopper - this was in way different times when many suburban roads were nearly empty of cars and we were far more cautious when racing. Today roads are jammed and people just drive crazy. It was an unusual era of the car culture that is now long gone and memories. Heck, we even raced the cops when they got their new Fury Interceptors - 440s.

Racing is still done with the cops out here, but I haven't found the area yet. I have heard stories. They close the streets for ya too and chances are probably take a little share of the winnings if there is a race for cash. At 2am the streets still clear Glenn. Times haven't changed. :burnout:

Ain't that the truth. I worked 10 yrs on a spinal cord injury unit for the VA. We were in turning patients every two hours, or patching bed sores or the nurses were giving medicine.
I spent a week in the hospital myself some years back and the nurses were in every 45 min to an hour drawing my blood or giving me pills. Just when you've drifted off to dream land.

Remember John, Linda's got some hockey buddies in case you forget to listen to her. :D
