I can do the swap, its just getting all the right parts (at a good price) that concerns me. Maybe i need to re-read the eaton swap list again.

Im very interested in this. Im assuming i can take it over to Lidio after the swap, or is there an Eaton tune floating around that will work?

I have some important stuff to pay off first, then the swap begins. It should be done before Carlise.

And if you happen to have a cousin who owns a 03 Cobra and is upgrading to a F1A ProCharger, then you can scavenge parts very easily!!!

My swap was a complete Cobra set up but I skipped the Eaton and went for the big Whipple instead with the Cobra front dress. I have not seen anyone else's Cobra front dress set up so I had no idea how they dealt with the alternator mounting, but I worked together with a machinist friend and we designed then he fabricated the alternator brackets for me that does not require notching the frame. As far as I know, my brackets design are the only ones in existence, unless someone can show me others.

Hey I just found this if it helps anyone. frozenboost.com has the cobra pump harness. and it's cheap!
We stock the WPT717 Bosch Pump Harness.

http://www.siliconeintakes.com/images/product/bosch_pump_harness_picture.jpg Bosch Cobra Water Pump Wiring Harness
[WAT001023]http://www.frozenboost.com/images/pixel_trans.gifThis wiring harness is exactly what you need to install a Bosch Cobra Water to Air Intercooler Pump. This is not a Ford part, but it is similar to the Ford connector WPT717. The Bosch Cobra Water to Air Intercooler Pump is designed for a 16 gauge wire, which this part has. Most connectors you will find being sold for this pump have 18 or 20 gauge wire which may result in poor pump performance, voltage drop, or dangerously hot wires.

PRICE: $11.99

I went to the junyard after Vortech347 said the connectors are identical to the older style Ford Fuel injectors....I grabbed about 15 of them!

So the JLT fits going the other direction? Or did you get one for Mustang applications. Probably cheaper than a Cobra original?

It's gotta be a Mustang app, the angle's different for the MM version, IIRC.

Sorry. :D I got sooooo caught up with all the little crap you need to modify I would have thrown the camera if it was nearby.
540+ in the end. Starting off with a stock upper and it has a 6lb lower on it. Later I'll put a 2.93" upper or maybe just look at TVS.

So the JLT fits going the other direction? Or did you get one for Mustang applications. Probably cheaper than a Cobra original?
Good catch as usual. I cobbled it together and even though it works, (hood even shuts) it looks like crap. I have more parts coming!

Lookin good. I see you have Terrys' high hp brackets. Waht boost are you at ? Is this on your MMR block ?
I have another pulley to put on that bracket when the real belt arrives. 13 to 14 psi. May be lower though with the ported heads, etc. Yup, MMR block! I have another forged block as a spare now and new heads going on that with my Crower stage 2 cams, FR500 SS valves.... ported of course... :D

Addendum:
Well, I had a really high idle and was chasing my tail thinking it was a vacuum leak somewhere. I pulled the filter off, started the car and put a piece of cardboard overn the MAF opening. If there was a vacuum leak, it should keep running. It shut right down. MAF counts on a log were in the mid 300's. Hmmmmm... Oops! Anyone see a prob with the IAC valve in the pics? :D If you reverse it, the plunger gets sucked open by the vacuum! Fixed!!!

^^^^^ Yes and no, Waymon. Technically, there was a guy that did a Cobra motor swap into a MM before Zack, so that would have been the first Eatonized MM, but that required frame notching for front skirt clearance.

Yep, Zack did the first top-end Eaton swap into a MM, back in 2008, using fabricated brackets to enable installation on the factory engine:

The Trilogy kit is out of production now. When they did sell it, the price was about $7000. Right now the Eaton swap is the best option for Marauder owners if you want a roots blower and generally costs between $3500 and $4500 depending on how good you are at scouting the best prices on used parts. I'm not sure, but I think the centrifical kits are still sold and they cost between $4500 and $6000 depending on what you get. If your looking to have a Whipple, your only option is to follow the Eaton swap method and use a Whipple blower that was made for a 03-04 Cobra. You can also see if you can get your hands on a Trilogy kit used if your very lucky.

Dropped my car off on the weekend to a shop in NJ (friend of mine) to have my Eaton swap done. It may be there a little while, but I'm dreaming about driving it already! Will be pretty basic setup with +4lb lower and a stock upper pulley. Scored a nice blower with 15K miles on it. The rest of the items were from Merc390. Will post results when it is finally completed.

It's official I'm Eaton swapped. I'm ready to be on the list. There's a long list of people I'd like to thank.
Jwibbity; For selling me his wrecked car....more like his wife for making him get it out of the garage.
lji372: For some custome parts.
Fordnut: We did some trading
My sons both my own and my foster sons for their support and time. They're good boys. No good young man.
Curless: for answering his phone. I had a lot of questions and for his advice.
Andy's Mustangs; He did the engine and trans swap for me. This was right down his alley. He loved this project. He knows which end of the spark plug to put in the hole. His shop is in Hazel Green Al.
Marty O; With me being this close to Dallas Ga. You know I'm going to his shop. He did the tuning both remotely and on the dyno. And service after the sale. I had trouble on the way home from his shop. Keep in mind it had nothing to do with anything his shop did, but he was on the phone with me after hours on a Saturday to try and figure it out.

So Thanks to all these people and more that weren't mentioned I'm enjoying the benefits of "Boost". I'm now looking for a super charger setup for my wife's Mustang so she can also enjoy the benefits of "Boost".

After 18 years' ownership my time has come. After being at ~10 Trilogy installs my planets lined up and I got everything* for my Eaton swap.

Life and stuff got in the way and these aspirations get moved further and further from priority. I have all the big components, the brackets, COT, pulleys, battery tray, Cobra intake tube. While working at the Ford dealer I bought every little part needed down to the bolts and clamps.

Still need to get the coolant tube and MAF. Been taking lots of notes and pics. My install is beginning in January and that's perfect timing because my new kitchen doesn't even have the countertops installed yet.

The Autometer gauges for AFR and boost are already installed. The heat exchanger from Frozen Boost is, too. I was sitting on a pair of cam covers so they're gonna be blue. I love the way the engine looks in the Supercharged Ford GT with the blue and silver and that's my direction.

Looking forward to being on this list.

None of this could have never happened without the collective knowledge and generosity of all of you.

Well I’m finally back in an Eaton swapped DTR. Mine original one was hit head on by a drunk driver back in 2018 if I recall. Life and health got in the way of rebuilding it so I sold it. Fast forward to earlier this year. I find out a friend of mine Mike an original member and mod here passed away who owned an Eaton swapped DTR that my friend Bob and I built for him some odd years ago. I was very fortunate to get in touch with Mikes family and friend with the help of Drewstang. Big thank you for getting the ball rolling!! So anyways my wife and I picked up Mikes car about four weeks ago and the rest is history. RIP Mike. Some of us miss you man.

This actually caused my eyes to well up. RIP to Mike; I can't think of anyone else who is a better candidate to gain ownership of his MM (maybe Bob). So great to hear you're back in the mix, Joe!

I appreciate the kind words. I was a bit emotional completing the transaction. I met up with Mikes sister, ex wife, his daughter and his good friend. Multiple times my eyes filled with tears. It was hard to say the least.

Awesome news Joe!!!!!! I'm glad the car stayed in the our marauder family, it couldn't have gone to a better owner..... PS, when are you going to convince Bob to get another marauder?
