Didn't someone put a photo up that showed a 5L and a 4.6 DOHC side by side? I'd like to get that photo again, as I'm doing some engine swap studying.
Thanks!

In general, the DOHC 4.6 is wider on top and down low than the old 5.0 (302).
The new 5.0, who knows?

According to Wikipedia:

The new motor shares the same deck height & stroke, so I'm going to assume the outside dimensions are probably going to be very similar to the 4.6, just like the "big bore" block from FRPP..
The internals? Way different..
Edit: Oh, and here are some dimensions of different modular motors for you, look about half way down..

5.0l aluminum big bore used in the cammer engine is the same size externally, I believe. I know the deck height is the same as the 4.6.

I've read that the new 5.0 Coyote engine has better flowing heads that are not as wide as the previous DOHC heads.
Should mean the new 5.0 is a little narrower width wise.
