I was told by a very creditable source that I need to change my breathers? Where are they? I thought there was one on the driver side head close to the firewall. The passenger side head has the PCV system I guess and Justbob and I changed it yesterday.
I went to a dealer today to get an OEM Ford part, but we couldn't find anything on the computer. I looked and it was the DOHC engine, not a 2V... on the computer. I pointed out what I thought I needed to replace to a machanic who has a nine second Nova (since he knew performance) and he told me it was a breather and it was fine, didn't need to be replaced.
Well, I didn't buy anything because I'm not sure if we IDed the part that needs to be replaced. Plus the dealer didn't have it.
Suggestions?
Thanks!
BTW on the dealer computer the breather has a cap on it, there is no hose on the stock set up... according to the computer. I don't recall if stock engines had any hose going there, but I'm almost certian they did.
