Am I crazy to think that the lights in mustang grills would look decent mounted behind or moulded into our grills? Just curious as to what you guys think of this idea...

The unique look would not offset the loss of air flow comming through the grill if you ask me.

Plus I have to admit it would make the car stand out a bit too much and seem like someone is just trying to make it look more sporty. Beside's they have to have an alignment set up to be legal and not blind people so it would make it a lot more difficult than you think.

Or you could just pull up in front of a wall or your garage door and make sure the lights don't shine higher than your headlights????

The airflow loss would be as negligible as the cool factor you would gain. :P

Personally, I like the lights behind the grill look, or in front. But the Mercury emblem has to go. That will free up some blocked space for cooling, ya?

I am very tempted, if I can find a GM grill and mustang grill lights for cheap, to try this out and see how it looks! I know you guys think I am crazy, but I REALLY want to try this out! I would keep the original grill as is and modify a cheap GM grill...

You did get serious answers, yes you are crazy. Why make it look like a mustang? Why not make a CV look like a MM that looks like a mustang that was also copied by a subaru. You could put a push bar on the front and mount the lights to that and make the MM look like a CV that looks like a mustang that subaru copied. Might as well put the GT 500 stickers on the side while you are at it. :P

It would look goofy if you used round ones.
It works on a Mustang because the outer headlights are round.
Maybe if you used rectangular fogs...
