03:30 hrs, 04-25-10, STR 46 north just south of the C/Oneida line a Dodge Neon STR 4 passes a MARKED NYSP unit at, wait for it... botta BING! 153 MPH! Then attempts to elude going into a heavily policed area and misses his turn and wrecks out. Luckily no one is injured.

One miscreaten tagged, bagged and incarerated....

Oh, FWIW, can you say bye, bye drivers license for a long, long time.
VTL and criminal charges (3 passengers) pending arraigment in C/Oneida Court this date.

Most of the departments around here don't even bother trying if someone flies by at like 120-130+, they figure that that point it's gonna be more of a clean up than a traffic stop.

Oneida, NY -- A man state police said was driving at more than 150 mph was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed his car early Sunday morning on state Route 46 in the city of Oneida, state police said today.

Shane M. Crolick, 20, of Bradford Corners, was also charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, having a BAC greater than 0.08, reckless endangerment and many vehicle and traffic violations.
Troopers first became aware of Crolick when he passed a state police car about 3:20 a.m. on Route 46 at 153 mph, troopers said.
The trooper began pursuit but the Crolick’s car, a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 continued going north on Route 46 at a high speed, troopers.
The car struck a guard rail at Mount Hope Boulevard and became disabled, troopers said. None of the three passengers in the car were injured and they were not charged.
Crolick is scheduled to appear Friday in Oneida City Court.

He actually had quite a ways to slow down before the attempted turn. He is more lucky that one of the Black Angus steers they serve at the casino wasn't loose in the road. He was passing the farm the Oneida's own when he hit that speed. What a mess that would have been... :rolleyes:
