Well thru my best impression of Mickey Spillane, I have been able to track down the winner of the Roush Mercury Marauder. I called his house but he was not home. I will be headin over there when I get off work and will hopefully have pictures posted later this evening.

Wow! How the heck did you manage to do that?
Man...way to go Brutus!!! Take your camera, O.K.? And enough bail money to get you out of those stalking charges!!!
If y'all remember...you had the choice of having it painted any color and to have it tuned by the Roush boys...
I'll be watching this post...

Well I finally found it. The pictures are posted in the Gallery. My apologies, the photos are not the best. It was dark and I tried to do the best I could in the garage. The bad news: there was no performance modifications done. (But how bad can it be? This guy WON a Marauder!!) They put a DVD navigation system in along with a sunroof, Roush logo in the headrest, Roush floormats, and Roush Badges. He told me he just recently joined and intends to get more photos on soon. So there you have it! Enjoy
Well done, Brutus! Looking forward to the pics.
EDIT: Good job on the pics. What I found most interesting is the movement of the Climate Controls to were our stock radio is, to make room for the GPS. Now there's a new "twist"..

Interestingly, the 03 MERCURY MARAUDER product brochure states that our engines are "(Engineered by Roush)" in the specifications section at the back. Pretty cool.

Final drawing was Oct. of '02. It was in conjunction with Hot Rod Magazine and the Mercury website.
You had your choice of ANY color, and of Roush performance mods.
This is one lucky guy...hope he chimes in soon.

Funny that he has a garage door opener clipped on his visor - 6 inches away from his homelink buttons.

I thought it was choice of custom paint, or custom interior or performance mods?

Winning a free Marauder is way cool :) , but I would liked to have seen some performance mods instead of just badging :(

Interesting how they switched location of the Heat/AC control panel for the Nav system install

A free MM is great...I thought Roush was more the performance type stuff...moon roof, nav system cool...it is one of a kind and that's neato...just can not believe Roush put something out without any go fast goodies...go fast > sig...IMHO

When my engine was being dismantled in preparation for getting "head" (man, some engines are just SO lucky...), the technician asked me if this was a Roush engine. He says he saw a few parts (in the vicinity of the intake, I'm assuming) that had references to Roush on them.
About this Roush car... interesting that the winner could get it in any colour, and chose black.

Alright...here I am chiming in! I am the winner of the Roush Marauder!
To answer some of your questions, the person at Roush we worked with was the guy in charge of the Mustang program. He indicated they were trying to work a deal with Mercury to put together a Roush Marauder...but it sounds now like it did not pan out.
They offered an interior package or an exterior package..and we took the interior package...of course, my wife had some say so...so the sun roof is all hers! He did not indicate that there were any other modifications that would be done. There was a budget of $10,000 to work with in the deal. So we came up with ideas for the nav system, upgraded stereo, sunroof, seats...which were a bear to customize with the side airbags...along with the Roush signature headrests..and the roush badges and floor mats.
I love my Marauder and would never have picked any other color but black...never even crossed my mind!! :D
Hope to meet some of you at a gathering soon!

Skatz30-Congratulations on your winning the Rousch Marauder, once you start reading the posts here you will have to make up your mind on which performance kit to go with. Hopefully you will be able to test drive some to see which one you will like best. I am very happy with the Kenny Brown edition that my wife .... yes dear it was you that told me about Kenny Brown...thank you, and I chose. You will soon learn that you can not share a Marauder for sooner or later you will both want one. :D Have fun and enjoy the car and remember to smoke some ricers.
