Hey all...I've finally had time to do a little write up and post pics...This is a very busy week for me.. As I work fulltime then start working on my car right after...I got the brackets, serp belt, fuel pump, spark plugs, cooling mod, powerder coated valve covers, lower blower pulley, custom coolant T fitting and I think thats it.. so far!! I was thinking I could make the stock MM battery tray work but its seems to be more trouble going that route..I modified the lower intake and passenger side coolant mod fitting as well..

yea I finally got to take a pic of them from the top...even though that pic was from a cell phone.. More pics on the way later tonight...did all you eaton guys just silicone the intercooler to the blower and the blower to intake?? I have a gasket for the blower to intake....Was just wondering...Seems like I've seen silicone everywhere on most of the eaton swaps...

Did you pull the engine to install the headers and Cam covers?

Looks good!

Screw the horn into the cross brace between the bumper and condenser.

What kind if Heat exchanger did you go with?

1. Its a really dumb question
2. You can answer the question on your own, but you dont want to do the legwork. :D

The blower is on....BUT....I think i'm going to have a hood clearance issue...For the fact that when I did the headers I raised both sides 3/8ths of a inch or so....I might take the shims out and fabb the steering shaft some more....:shake:

Heres more pics, i'm almost done... Just finish the crossover tube.
Really all thats left is, the battery to the driverside, all the wiring, and the coolant hoses...Does anyone know have a blower tensioner pulley sitting around or know where to get just the pulley by it self???

Did you have to remove the shims? I Haven't done it yet, I am considering making a steering shaft to clear the header or lower the motor down and take a lil more meat off the shaft...

All you guys that have done the eaton swap, when you bought the blower tensioner, didn't your pulley come ribbed?? if so what pulley did you use???

The swap is finished..Theres just one thing!!! The car revs to 3000 rpms with the maf plugged in and throttle cloesed:eek:..W/o it idles kinda rough..The car has a base tune on it for the swap...Thought about a vacuum leak. Sprayed it down to check for leaks in possible spots, not much of a difference. Monitored pids and saw the maf volt's @ 1.5 with the engine idling @ 575-625 rpm's:shake:. Thats hi..Checked over all the wiring, its was done the right way..I still am kinda thinking vacuum leak..Sorry but its way past my bedtime as its 3:00am.. I typed this already and it got deleted.. So good night and good morning!! Also I removed just about all the shims and took a lil more metal off the shaft.. Here's some pics..

Log MAF COUNTS at idle...they should be around 160-180.

With the way you routed your throttle cable, it is possible the butterflies are open a little.
If the MAF is plugged in and it idles that high, definitely a vacuum leak or stuck throttle plates.

The throttle is closed its not hanging up...I really thought it was a vaccuum leak but, I just smoked tested it with no luck finding a leak...With the maf connected it will rev hi and kinda stay there even if the throttle is snapped...

Nice numbers, but I disagree, 442 and 455 ft lbs @13psi and the word safe in the same sentence is a oxymoron. You are dangerously close to the magic number that most consider the unsafe for stock motors. That being said have fun in the world of boost. The car really wakes up with a blower attached.

I was reffering to the tune...

The timing was set to 12 degrees or so with the safer tune... The other tune was set for 15 degrees which I haven't ran yet...

Dont it will detonate on the street with 15 degrees.

It wont detonate on a dyno though...not enough load on the engine.

what is the safest timing number in your opinion Zack?

Remember, all we have out here in CA for gas is 91 octane...

I thought my tuner said I was at 16 or 17 degrees... but I could be wrong.

I cant seem to squeeze more than 12-13 in without it pinging.
There is a function in the pcm that adds timing in based on Air/Fuel, but the Marauders never seem to do this (at least not on my cars)
Tuners factor this adder into total timing and come up with the higher number. You wont know what timing the pcm is actually throwing in unless you log it at WOT.

I don't even know what my timing is at? I notice huge difference in numbers on all these cars. I am making 445 but only 431 tq with 11.4 boost? No other mods except 90 MM Maf/ mafia. Standard Trilogy 39# injectors and walbro w/ BAP. What changes in the tune causes such big differences Zack? Mostly timing and what else?
