This is the first chance i've had to get on here and tell the news. I entered my MM in the 3rd Annual Ford Show & Race at the Mooresville Dragway in Mooresville N.C. The first half of the day was the car show in which I won one of the Top Fifty in Show. After the show I decided to enter it in the street class of the drag race (luckly all of the supercharged & nitrous Mustangs were in the Mustang Shootout). Somehow, even with the bad hesitation it's developed, I was able to win the Street Class.
RT-.762 (bad hesitation when I drop the hammer)
60ft-2.191
1/8 E.T.-9.551
MPH-76.167
Now i've had to start a MM trophy wall that I plan to add many to.

That's great news. Congrats!
(I'd get that hesitation looked at if I was you, though.)

Speaking of hesitation, has anyone noticed a slight hesitation about 3400 RPM under brisk accelleration (not full throttle)? Mine seems to drop back about 1-200 RPM before accellerating again. You can hear the sound change as the engine backs up then increases RPM again. The car is completely stock with 1400 miles.

Marauder03:
Here is my guess of what you might be feeling there:
In 2nd gear the torque converter lock clutch is locked at less than full throttle. At about 3400 RPM, under heavy throttle, the engine torque output could exceed the torque capability of the converter lockup clutch under certain circumstances of trans fluid temp, etc. In order to protect the durability of the converter lockup clutch from slipping due to an over-torque situation, the PCM unlocks the converter clutch during that brief period of peak torque, then reingages it again when you are past the torque peak. Since you are going from a direct-drive with a locked converter to a fully functional (slipping) converter, the seat-of-the-pants feel is similar to a hesitation.
If you are not in 2nd gear when you feel the "hesetation", then the above explanation is not your issue.
