As many of you have said and Ihave heard @ car shows and cruise nights my altinator just dosn't look too cool with the engine color work I have done.

So I am in the middle of getting it done today was prep and primer/adhesion promotor.

But I want to hear what you think I should do as far as keeping to the color work I am doing over all.

I added a poll for you to vote and of course you can say something personaly as well.

Here are the pictures of my engine now which will look best with what I have done?

20044

Keep in mind I will be carrying this work further in the future when I do the front Timming cover and the other pully's on the car.

So If I do gold pully now they will all be gold when I do the work on them as well.

Chrome or powdercoat the case for the alternator.

Gold alternator I think will be too much. I say gold pulley with the finish of the alternator itself to match the intake and cross over tube.

Out of the question and price range or I am not going to Carlisle this year either.

Trying to work with what I did and what I have available to me.

I would just clean it up the best I can and go with silver.

I think you should sell me those valve covers so I don't have to paint mine to match...

LMAO with the way your car looks you want something I have done? :bows:

I will take that as a big compliment from you! :D

Anyways today is the start of the color work and I agree with the majority here that has voted the idea of the Silver with the gold pully's is the best
way to go and will work well when I do the timming cover lator this year too! Thanks for the advice and help on all of this and I will post the pictures
when it is all done before and after the Altinator is in the Marauder.

You guys are great!

I am thinking about it but if I did change it to black it would be much further down the road when I have more Primer and Clear coat. Color I have plenty of just missing the other stuff.

Might be easier to find a new cover and just have one of each so I can pick and choose.

But thanks for the feed back on it! The paint came out so good you can not even tell it is turning when the car is running. And the belt isn't wearing it away @ all some tuff stuff once it is baked on that is for sure.

Looks good.
Your next challenge, should you decide to accept it, is to do something with our EGR valve.

EGR / IAT / timming cover and the rest of the pully's.

But I have plans to get a longer flexable EGR tube made first to make it much easier to work with since the headers and plenum spacer are adding to make it a not so fun task to put it on and off.

But yep it is something that is in the works just slowly now.
