In Canada, the Marauder along with the Grand Marquis were marketed as Fords. Hence "Ford Marauder" and "Ford Grand Marquis." All Lincoln-Mercury dealers in Canada became Ford-Lincoln dealers.

I have a poster for a 2005 Marauder somewhere. No joke, but also an error.

Does that mean it doesnt have the pucky "waterfall" emblem and has the blue oval instead? Id like to see some pics of that if true, very interesting. Im assuming they left the godheads on the seats and wheels alone at least.

No, all Canadian Marauders still have the "waterfall" badges.

Excerpt from 2000 Ford Grand Marquis brochure:

"The face of Ford of Canada is changing. With the introduction of our 2000 models all Ford and Mercury cars and Ford trucks, are available under the familiar blue Ford oval."

Doesn't that mean that Mercury vehicles will, as of y2k, be available at all Ford dealerships? Probably something to do with closing Mercury dealerships at the time... just a guess, I don't know.
