View Full Version : Enclosed trailer rental?

Motorhead350

I might have to rent an enclosed trailer next year. One that can hold a car and no it's not mine. Does anyone know of a company? I know U-Haul has open ones, but I'm going to need an enclosed one.

Any suggestions? One way rentals across country too...

You might have to rent a trailer next year? WTF Dominic, have you totally lost all your sense? Next Year? What if an asteroid crashes into the planet next year? May as well ask that. Next year. That gives you time to click this link www.ask.com . When it comes up, type something like say, enclosed trailer rentals in the nice white box. I'll bet 500 answers pop up. Then, when you get it narrowed down to say four and a half dozen, enter each on into something like jenny'slist.com and see what real people who've used the product think.

Listen here big boy. I am looking for a trailer to tow my dads 71 Mercedes to the Barret Jackson auction if it passes the inspection. I'm 95% certain it will. That's next year unless you can make it happen here in Chicago this weekend.

You can answer the question now and PM me on how you have fantasy's about spanking my mother.

Being that this is a car site I know someone here had probably done this before. I could use a real answer from a real person. Not just do a search and find all the companies are stroking their egos to get my money. I am here to learn from ones experience and find out why they are fond of a company or why they are not.

Make since or is that another attention whore thing I am doing to you?

Your talking about a trailer, a box on wheels, which can be rented buy the hour/day/week/lease. If the axles are aligned, and the brakes are good, both requirements to get a tag, it's like any other trailer. I'm assuming you meant to type sense, so the answer is no to that, and yes partially to the last part. You're not doing anything to me.

Get a friend with a trailer... That is the only thing I can think of.

Okay, but I don't know of a company that will rent out an enclosed car trailer, only open ones. Budget and U-Haul are full of them, but not enclosed. Hince the reason for the thread.

LOL I saw that last week for the first time in 15 years.

Did you know the truck driver Jerry Reed used to write songs for Elvis Presley?

Good stuff!

I was looking for something like this....

http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages. search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fim ages%3Fp%3Drace%2Bcar%2Btraile r%26ei%3DUTF-8%26fr%3Dyfp-t-701&w=600&h=327&imgurl=www.trailersforless.com %2Fco_pics%2F18_8x20CARHAUL_CT _LG.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.trailers forless.com%2Fco_car_hauler_en closed_trailers.html&size=32k&name=18+8x20CARHAUL+C...&p=race+car+trailer&oid=2517d3a92a16a4e0&fr2=&no=15&tt=27911&sigr=123nm9isp&sigi=11oi8dbbk&sigb=12lkk9hl0

I didn't need you to look anything up for me, but I do appreciate it. I was just looking for someone with experience. A trailer I could attach to my truck is what I am set on. Shipping might be even less though. Good thought.

Thanks Paul!

I suggest putting an add on craiglist saying you need an enclosed trailer that you are willing to rent off of someone... I bet you will find someone will to let you borrow their trailer for the right price

It's risky. You never know of the condition. Companies must keep their equipment in tip top shape so they are safe for rental. Again, another thought though. Thank you.

Knowing his luck, he'll get some party bus loaded with transgenders in plethor, dancing under disco balls in a drug induced euphoria on their way to found a new religious order ruled by an ex blue chip ceo that holds a secret Mayan tablet with the key to enlightenment...

Just keep in mind one thing you may have to have a class II license to tow some trailers.

Might be better off paying a company to bring it for you or rent a flat full size trailer and use a really good car cover to keep it protected other wise you might have rental issues if your license dosn't cover the use of what your looking for.
