I'm not sure how this can be, but one of our reps at STAP just told me that they were going to offer a supercharger option at the end of the 2005 model year. I thought there wasn't gonna BE a 2005 model, but he is adament that it is going to happen! Anybody else heard this???

Yah. They WERE originally going to offer a supercharged version in 2005...until they cancelled the MM as of MY2004...

But if for some reason it gets resurrected, I am so THERE...

In another thread, Jerry said there's going to be a Trilogy S/C kit available thru Ford in 2005. Maybe that's what your rep heard?

Hey, are they killing the Marauder because of sales? I heard they were gonna kill it for 2005 and bring out a new model in 2006 or 2007, because they're remaking everything top to bottom from the Grand Marquis or Crown Vic, like they've done with the Mustang.

na, not sales, babcock himself says the car has already made money and even if they sold 100,000 right now it still wouldnt save it. the choice has been made.

At least i'll have a year before my ride becomes obsolete providing that rumor has merit to it. Of course, since I keep waiting for my vehicle to arrive(almost 2 weeks late), who knows how long i'll get to enjoy it. Why in the world did they decide to cancel MM production after 2004?

If Ford ever offers a factory supercharger kit, I would probably be immediately sold on it!

I know that Trilogy was planning to offer their intercooled supercharger kit through Ford Racing, but couldn't make it into the 2004 Ford Racing catalog because they weren't sure how to "package" the EEC retuning that would be required for the supercharger install. So, could a Trilogy supercharger kit to be offered in the '05 Ford Racing catalog be the seed of the rumor?
