http://www.stangtv.com/forum/jpc-racing-runs-first-10-second-6856.html#

This was yesterday by JPC (Justin's Performance Center in Glen Burnie, MD). They only owned the car for 24 hours and got it in the 10's at MIR.

Today, Evolution Performance out of PA (who had the first '11 GT in the 11's) has beaten that and gone 10.88 (after just two passes, 10.91 on first pass) so far and are still at the track (Cecil).

Looks like this is going to be a battle between these two semi local shops.

Current mods
JPC:
4.56 Gears
Control Arms
X-Pipe
Cat Back
100 shot
Slicks
Tune
Around 430rwhp on nitrous

Evolution:
Control Arms
100 shot
Drag Radials
X-pipe
Cat Back
CAI
Stock 3.73 Gears
Tune
469 RWHP and 513 RWTQ on nitrous

I love how those guys helped him stage like it was a rail car or something.

Would I be crazy to think this car will be in low nine territory once they go boosted with a good driver?

This car blows my mind a new way every day.

I call serious BS on the 430 RWHP. And Zack is right on the spotter, my first thought, "Just what is that tool doing?"

AWESOME car regardless.

The 430rwhp is legit, the car also has 4.56 gears and running slicks.

It sounded like he did a 6000 grand hole shot launch as the nose of the car went up high and then came crashing down on the ground-wouldnt doubt if that cost him some time. I think the tool lining the car up just wanted to get in the video........Also I did not see the tree count down so I guess the timer started when he left? How does that work? I would love to have the clock start only when I left and not include reaction time!

He's spraying so I'm not impressed.

Seems more like an ego contest to get the first 2000 and whatever with a 5.0 into the 10s.

??? If it was a sc or turbo, you'd feel different, or the same?

Using the spray was just for *****s and giggles to see what it would do. The goal is get the car into the 10's all motor which could be a very good possibility.

Evolution Performance, Inc. -2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V Runs 10.88@127MPH! This is a True Street Car, it could be driven directly from your house to a Drag Strip and Raced...The Video shows the car on the dyno making 469 RWHP and 513 RWTQ on Nitrous and serveral passes down the strip!

I foresee a newer 5.0 sitting in my driveway next to my old 5.0 in the near future.

I'm no mathnocologist but that would be six million RPM's.

Not rev limiter, it was a 2-step launch control.

So Evolution Performance ditched the drag radials, threw some slicks on it and went 10.58 @ 127 with a 1.43 60ft.
