Hello everyone. I have been a member for awhile and have always enjoyed the car. I am begining a search and was hoping for advice from experineced owners. I apologize if the questions seem foolish but I have asked dealers who were selling the MMs and got "I don't know."
1. Who is the manufacturer of the tires? Since they are specific to the MM and it is out of production, where do you buy new ones?
2. Are there any problems specific to the 2003 and 2004 to look for? For example, the transmision from 2003 to 2004, one better than another?
3. How can I obtain a copy of an Oasis report of a MM?
I saw one today and from the outside it looks good. I am going to head back tomorrow for a test drive and see what happens.
Thanks again!

OEM tires were made by BFG. They are crap. Buy a different manufacture's tires.
Certain 2003 had soft axles, replacement was covered under a TSB. The 2004 tranny is a little bit better than the 2003.
Have the dealership run an Oasis report or PM Royalpita on this site with the VIN.

What's a TSB? I know there was no recall as I had to have mine replaced and I had to pay for it. Over $800 bucks.:(

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

Only if you are still within warranty.

No such luck...I did register it with Ford, however and the NTSB just in case they ever have a recall.:o
