Okay I said I would post once they were done and on the Marauder.

I had orderd the door sill plates from SRP racing before Spring but I had plans to enhance them like a guy did on here with his.

A friend of mine did the lettering on them for me and I got them back this last weekend and then did 4 layers of clear coat on them to make sure they hold up through the years.

I am showing before and after shots of the sill plates.

I have been using the Duplicolor VHT high temp engine clear for everything because it is very resistant to any kind of chemicles ending up on it. And it's very easy to clean and keep clean.

But yes it is a spary can type of clear and very easy to work with hard to make any runs with over spray and they have those new spray tops on them to make it even easier to use.

Lovin' it... I was indecisive and was going back and forth with either red or black lettering, I've now made my decision MARAUDER. Btw I think you should paint your toe nails black too!

Awesome! good job. I agree! I cannot afford to read all these posts on add-ons. I still haven't gotten the money for a blower yet!

It has taken me years of saving wheeling and dealing to get all the mod's I have put on my Marauder.

And I found out late in the game about all there was and what we could do.

It's a little by little process for most people so never get disapointed if it takes time to make it your dream car.

Like the old saying goes where there is a will there is always a way.

Hell I still havn't put the deep tranny pan on yet because I couldn't afford the tranny fluid for the job as of yet. I have the pan painted and ready, gasket and filter but no fluid! :mad2:

By the end of the month I will be doing that.

And I still have the timming cover I bought from Zack sitting and waiting for me to buy the paint and gaskets for it. It's cleaned and preped but will take time to make it happen. :alone:

One step @ a time always works for me.

I have never seen the letters filled in before and I must say I like it much better that way. Thanks for the pics and the info on how you did it.

Your welcome! And what is nice about that clear coat is no buffing is needed after words to get that totaly smooth and shinny look to it. But to fully harden it you do need to bake it in an oven @ 200 degrees for an hour.
