Anyone heard of a way to disable that feature on the driver's window? I hate it...

Don't think you can disable it.

This may not apply to our year panthers but it seems like if you can add a module (looks like a relay to me) to add this to your car, if ours has the same type setup you could just jump the proper terminals on the harness to bypass this feature? That link is pretty interesting, tells you how to reverse it to make it an auto up feature as well.

Id have to guess looking at the switch from the bottom and an ohm-meter would tell you which connection to un-solder from the board.

Only partially press it down. Not all the way to the detent. I have one-touch up and down on my fronts thanks to my DEI window module.

I know HOW to operate it, it's just than I'm always fat-fingering it when I don't want to. When I just want to crack the window for ventilation in the rain, having to stop it and put it back up is a drag and I was hoping there was a way to totally disable the function.

I really hate when machines are designed to do my thinking for me because they never get it right....I mean, is it REALLY so hard to just hold the damn button down if I WANT the window to go down? Same thing with the traction control. Why should the default be always on? If I WANT the T/C on, I'll TURN it on...and don't even get me started about the key in the ignition chime and the headlight warning chime. :shake:

You can turn the chimes off, but I guarantee you will leave your lights on....I do, lol

This is a trip. I had my master switch replaced because the auto down feature stopped working in the heat of day.

To each his own.

I hate it too. This is just another example of carmakers inventing features just for the sake of it. Apparently, there are alot of people out there with really weak fingers...

You just made me realize that that was disabled in my car. Probably because it was undercover car... Cool. Oh yeah, tell your fat fingers to lose some weight! :D

What about replacing the driver's window switch with one of the other plain switches? Achieves the same effect as jumping or unsoldering the proper wire(s) to the switch.

Yes, Bob does have serious issues, but he is just being whiney now. And as to staying classy, mow your yard White trash.
