At about 7:53 A.M. yesterday June 2, 2010, my car turned 100,000 miles. Still running strong too. :) Thought I'd share that with the community.

@ MMBlue indeed, 4.10s for me. Still get about the same MPG though. :)

@ImpalaSlayer the song is called "Fool for You" by Curtis Mayfield. REAL old school. Basically how I feel about the car. I find that I play 50's and very early 60's era music in this car more than any other genre or era, it just feels good to drive a car like this with that music.

No Particular Place To Go would have been a better song. J/k man.

Enjoy the next 100,000. 161K checking in!

Congratts and even though you didn't own it brand new you have put enough money into your marauder where it basicly counts like you have.

Now if you can go a few more years trouble free you got it made.

Hey MrBluGroove, you should consider a evenflow cooling mod so she can keep going.

I should be hitting 100k sometime during the STAP trip. Not a milestone I'm looking forward to.

I just hit 60K and I have 3.73's - at 2500RPM I'm doing 80

Mr Blue Guy: 40K miles in 22 months? 20K a year. That's a lot of driving, (nothing wrong with that) I think I average about 12K a year. How far is the trip to work every day?

At least you know that the trans is good for another 100K... ;)

LOL, no joke I hope it's good for more than that.

But yeh, I put a TON of those miles on within the first year. Long story, but shortly before I got the car I had found out my girlfriend was fooling around with my best friend, so I did a LOT of driving to keep my mind off of it, and then my friends and I would meet up to chill about three or four times a week in a place across town, that ended up being roughly 70 miles round trip each time. It took me a while to be comfortable staying home by myself for long periods of time (I know, silly young man in young love, when it screws you over it REALLY ****s with you), but once I reached that point I stopped putting so many miles on the car. I work to try to avoid putting absurd amounts of miles on the car now.

And musclemerc, I've considered that for a while, but I'm afraid it may be too late for its intended purpose? Ever since I bought the car, it had a very faint tapping noise coming from the back side of the engine, don't remember which bank (I wanna say driver side). My boss at the time told me it was either piston or wrist-pin slap and that I'll be lucky if I don't have to rebuild in the near future, and after two years I guess I'm one lucky mo-fo, the volume of that tapping hasn't changed a bit. It's almost only at idle as well, if I get it a few hundred RPM above that it's completely inaudible, plus it magically disappears any time I try to show it to a mechanic. :(

I run 2000 RPM at 70 MPH. Mine just turned 105,000 yesterday. It's all good.;)

I think it's never too late. There have been a couple of engine failures lately as the 100,000mi closed in. If it's tapping already the mod can only help and for 155.00 you can't beat it. Good luck with the MM! :burnout:
