Its hard to voice any political views, because no matter what you believe, the other side will paste and destroy you. If I am an Obama supporter, I'm a socialist and a communist, If I am a republican, I'm a friend of big oil or a hillbilly. I would just say this

Liberals got social security passed
Conservatives, when the country get's messed with, they kick the azz
Liberals got women the right to vote
Conservatives try hard to give freedom in the purest sense
Liberals got civil rights litigation passed
Conservatives work hard to cut taxes and give me my money back.

It seems to me, both sides truly believe they have our countries best interest at heart, they just have different philoshophies on how to get there.

If you are a liberal you are not a communist, if you are a conservative, you are not a hillbilly. But regardless of who you are or what you believe, or how bad you think he is doing. Obama deserves to be called President Obama, just like President Bush deserved the title.
No matter what side you are on, the other side thinks your wrong.

The voting process is awesome! That is one of the things that makes our country so great. Even though I totally disagree with Pres. Obama on 98% of his ideals and how he wants to run this country, he won the election fair and square. The "Office of President" doesn't deserve any disrespect no matter who is in there. We've got 2.5 more years and we can make a change in that office. But we have a bigger opportunity to turn things around this fall. We need to make sure we use it WISELY. I will back what the gentleman said in this first post of this thread! We have many liberties that I don't want to see taken away or bothered with. America will rise again! I believe that most of us recognize we are not headed in a direction we would like to go. So voting is the best way to take care of this. If we want it bad enough, and I believe we do, we'll take HER back! IT ALL STARTS THIS FALL! Hopefully, the next strong and RIGHT leader for America will rise up out of this!

Sorry, but I am a conservative and a hillbilly and not ashamed, there are worse things, like being a Yankee ;-)

Also you might want check on who actually got civil rights legislation. It was not one sided by any stretch.
