With this kind of clear thinking, GM should be out of business within 5 years.

This was already around the block once.

It was an internal memo that was s'posed to go to GM employees only.

We hope people around the world will continue to fall in love with Chevrolets and smile when they call their favorite car, truck or crossover “Chevy.”

That long huh ??? Some Whiz Kid probably thought that this was a good idea for brand identification. Heck, I grew up in a Chevy family. My father and all my aunts and uncles owned Chevys. I don't think there was a "Chevrolet" in the bunch. The only time that it sounded cool was when Dinah Shore sang "See the USA in your Chevrolet". But on the street, they were Chevys.

I would say 95% of the times people call them Chevy's almost nobody comes to the shop and says "I have a Chevrolet Malibu" or "Chevrolet Tahoe" they should kill Chevrolet and leave it Chevy. My $0.02

I have always said CHEVY. I had a 67 Camaro and a 90 Lumina and I always called them Chevy Camaro and Chevy Lumina...

The Camaro was my first car even though I never got to drive it and the Lumina was my REAL first car... My friends kindly referred to it as the Zumina... Loved that car!

I never drove a Chevrolet but I grew up on Chevy's. Dumb ass corporate jerks never take heritage and legends into consideration. Idiots like the guys running the company are the reason why the Impala, errrrr Malibu XL, is still FWD.
