My question, are the Crank Cap bolts torgue to yield? can they be reused. I know the Rod Cap Bolts have to be replaced.

Yes and Yes depending on who you ask...
Rebuilding for high HP or just stock? Stock, reuse the tty if you're cheap, otherwise new.

It looks like I will have to spring for all new bolts to be safe. It is a stock MM with 90k spun a rod bearing and damaged the crank so I have to replace it and all the bearings. This is not my Trilogy MM. its MM#2

Nice. :shake: My engine will be out by tonight. Rod bearing also. New forged sb on it's way for mine though.

I plan on rebuilding my Trilogy with the forged internals, so this is good practice on a budget.

Dave if its TTY bolt, i will definately replace it.
even though you are not going to put hard miles on it , im sure you dont want to do the job twice.

I know some people say to re-use the TTY bolts, but I never do.
Maybe look into ARP bolts, you can re-use them but they are a little pricey.

I agree, spend the money now on new bolts, not after they break. Landy you must know my luck.

Do to extreme budget restrictions they will have to be stock.
