Oh yeah multitasking, folders, unified email and digital zoom!!! Easy update takes 15-20 depending on how much data/apps that need to be backed up...seems faster to me as well.

Down-loaded tonight after I updated iTunes. Playing with the phone now.

I thought you needed a 4G iPhone to be able to do the multitasking etc. It is just a software package?

yes its the OS on the iPhone which can be loaded onto the 3g and 3gs iPhones. Some features will not be available on the 3G. During the upgrade process the firmware will also be upgraded to support the new features. Here is a review of the new OS. Good luck! A few friends of mine have had nothing but problems with the ISO 4.0.

No problems for me and a dozen or so folks I know who downloaded yesterday. What iPhone does he have? Its only compatible for the 3G and 3GS.

If he did the upgrade they can always restore from the backup prior to the install. Its essentially a mini computer so software corruption is possible especially if the iphone has been modified (jailbreak).

I have a 3GS. Software sounds good, but since it is a work phone, they are not keen on letting us upgrade yet. Some of our work applications will not work apparently.

IMO the Apple OS is much more refined, easier to use with much more apps (215k supported apps). iPhone's major flaw is ATT network is sub standard.

The incredible and evo make the iphone look, well, old. And they have better and faster networks.

It is OK to be a fanboy until you start telling everyone it is better at everything, cuz it ain't. It USED to be...

^^Not at all the iPhone is not the end all be all as stated in my earlier post. When did I ever state it "was better than everything"? The OS is superior not the network it is on. "Fanboy" those are the facts:D
