Anyone here knows my baby was damaged 7 weeks ago by my good friend and pretty much the ONLY person I trust with my keys. It is fixed good as new. Tonight was a nice, rain-free evening so after a thorough detailing I decided to take it out this evening. I stopped my my mom's and as I left her driveway, her neighbor across the street backed a Toyota Tundra into it and destroyed the door. What the hell?!?!?! :bigcry:This car has been driven about 450 miles since the last crash!

Only two types of drivers are out to get my Marauder. VW Passat and Toyota Tundra. Those two type of vehicles must have poor visibility or the drivers just do not give a damn, as they are the vehicle types that repeatedly have close calls with my Marauder.
I hope the door is properly repaired, good luck. Jim

Sorry to hear about more damage....

I know you'd rather have a new door, but LKQ in Ft. Myers has a used Silver Birch door off a CV for $225, which they say is in excellent cond. Just need the correct molding and door handle.

The rear door surround / wheel well front looks damaged too. And what's the deal with your gas cap cover?

Looks like an easy enough repair.

Sorry so many idjits have run into you.

look at the second pic. It's clear the doglog is creased.

Looking at fixing the dogleg of the quarter, replace door, blend paint into front door and quarter. Not a cheap fix. It's silver. Simply putting a used door on it will never match.

The front door was JUST blended and cleared to match the front fender. I literally mean the paint is just over a month old. the front door will have to blend and clear, the LR door will need to be replaced along with the window regulator and glass molding. The rear quarter will need to blended as well and cleared. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I don't want a new door. I have been searching for a Marauder door with the correct paint (JP) and most CV and GM are Silver Frost (TS). I found a genuine silver Marauder door for $450 and I staked claim on it in South Carolina. That way it does not have to be jambed and only the outside skin will have to be color-matched and blended into the adjacent panels along with the minor damage at the wheel well. I got a fat-ass check today for $2413.43 which is wayyy more than I expected. They wrote for a new door, plus R&R of all the pieces that go into and onto it. I will hang the door myself and strip it of everything that would normally be masked. Then the paint will go down flawlessly. The shop I use did a perfect job on the front and there is not a molecule of overspray. I will do a majority of the work this time too and have them do the finish work.

It cost about twice that when they replaced both my right doors and repaired similar damage to my wheel well, so looks like they did a fair settlement.

Hope repairs go well and nobody else hits you.

My car is also an idiot magnet - has been hit on both sides (all 4 doors have been replaced at one time or another) and both front and rear bumpers have had to be replaced (rear 2X). Only 40k miles so far....

:D
