View Full Version : belt install - left or right?

Should I install it so that I can read the letters or should I turn it around and upside down? (this will present a problem for the next time I order one and have to crawl in and turn around to read the number) Seems to tight when I put it on clockwise, but counterclockwise seems too loose? Ideas?? Call Zack??

I think that it should not make a difference.

If your post is for real, then UR doing it rong. The belt doesn't have a "left or right".

If your post is a dig at Motorhead350...consider this your only warning.

Come on Bob, where's your humor tonight? Besides, it wasn't Dom, it was merely a comment Zack made today.

i find it easier to cut the belt and route it then glue it back together.

you go across, and over lap it by an inch

But will it make my fan skip on the staples?? Should I take all the acessories off, through the belt in, and reistall? Maybe easier??

Why don't these come with instructions? My blower belt is in the way I see. Do I need to remove that as well? What if I confuse the two belts? Will my fan spin faster now with the new belt? It's awefully hot out.

Update: I finished it up (without staples...) but it doesn't seem to spin as fast as the old one?

Recommend you take your blower belt to Zack for a belt job

Just write the P/N in the owners manual for future reference.

Put a chalk mark on it, start the car and count the number of times the chalk mark comes around in a timed minute. A good way to check if your tach is correct also!!
