So it looks like if you add all the Panthers together they are #4 on the list at around 40,000 cars in the first 6 months of 2010. I wonder how a they figure its cost effective to kill off a car that sells 80 thousand a year?

Probably mostly fleet sales and those don't typically generate much profit. I think it sad, but we're seeing the end of the panther platform. At the end of the summer I plan on trading my 2009 Lincoln MKZ in on a gently used fleet return Town Car while I still can.

What's really scarry is that they title a chevy impala as a large car.

I had one of those police Impalas as my g-ride before I retired and it was a decent but you could tell it was a typical GM fwd dispose-a-car. Felt tinny but relatively comfortable and pretty good mileage. They sure sell alot of those buggers.

I sat in a Chevy Impala when my brother-in-law was looking for a commuter car. I felt like I was in my soap box racer when I was a kid, rickety and underwhelming. He ended up getting a Toyota Corolla. It's OK till you turn on the A/C then its right lane only up the Cuesta Grade. Those in central Cali know the hill I'm talking about:)

I drove Impalas for about 2 years while I worked on the road at Fort Gordon. They have decent power but don't try to chase anyone in them, they will laugh at you...lol.
