Top Gear 2010 Camaro SS Review

Top Gear can be entertaining, but more often than not they are annoying.

First off, they can't even figure out the difference between a 'Pony Car' and a 'Muscle Car'.

Second, they act as if American Auto Manufacturers can't design any suspension systems and must rely entirely on Australia.

Third, the Camaro sounded wayyyyy better than the Mercedes,
(And I'm not a Camaro fan at all.)

Fourth, they test two cars that are seperated by a HUGE price differential.
You could almost buy 2 Camaros for the price of the Mercedes.

Why don't they employ their bias towards the testing and review of British cars???

That AMG E63 sounded so good!!! You really need to hear it in person, I take that Benz over a fleet of Camaros any day. I did like how Hammond referenced that if you were 12 or under you would know the car as Bumblebee. :lol:

Thats a great show made by Brits for Brits. If you like hearing snide remarks about the US and/or US made products I guess its tolerable. I guess they are probably frustrated they dont have the opportunity in their show to dress up like women and spank each other.

Maybe it was that video link...:dunno:.... but the AMG sounded like crap when I watched it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the AMG! (although if I could afford an AMG I'd buy a new Shelby GT500, have $6,000 left over for gas and mods, then have fun embarassing all the stuck-up AMG owners!...:D)
But, let's compare it to a BMW sedan or and Audi sedan...not a Camaro!

Actually, at least here you can buy almost 3 Camaro SS`s for the price of one AMG E63. Maybe in the UK the price points are closer, but I would doubt they`d be close enough to put them in the same class.
They commonly compare ``appples and oranges``. The other day I was watching an episode comparing a 300C SRT8 and a BMW M5. Again a huge price differential. Clarkson hated the SRT8 of course.

I think the AMG sounded great! They don't just make fun of American cars, they destroy French and Italian cars too and don't even get started on Japanese cars they think they're boring and mundane!!!

What those flakes over in england need to do is compare the CTS-V 6.2 supercharged caddy to the AMG 6.3 the caddy would punish the merc.

The caddy would still be cheaper!

Mays loved the CTS-V and Clarkson liked the ZR-1 when they did the show over here with the Challenger SRT8, CTS-V and ZR-1 on the salt flats.

That AMG was awesome. I am not so sure I would have posted that on the Camaro site, as it probably should have gone on the Mercedes site. For a luxobarge, that is one nasty exhaust!
