I am looking at the different kits available and did not find a specific thread on the subject. Anyone whohas had a upgrade done and is willing to give input it would be appreciated. Those who have done research and have knowledge of the different upgrades please post. Next to a S/C brakes seem to be the biggest expense

Hey greyghost, check out this web site, they're also a vendor on this site:
http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/

Plus Baer Claws Brake makes a kit for us too:

You get a choice, greyghost, which means you need to make a decision.

Choice one, is a front brake upgrade kit from any of the popular suppliers. Many here have chosen the 14" BaerClaw kit from Baer. It's a front kit only, but all necessities are included.

Some have chosen the Reinhart upgrade kit, which is OEM sized rotors, but improved, and adding improved brake pads. Reinhart offers upgrades for both front and rear brakes.

TCE Performance also has brakes for our MMs, but you should check with them, only because I'm not up to speed on what TCE offers, or how reasonable their pricing is.

Wow, thanks for the replies. I see I have my homework cut out in deciding which setup to use?? Decisions, decisions, it never gets easier. Of course if I had unlimited funds like most of you guys, uh just kidding, it would be a lot easier to make that decision

Barry,

We can hook up sometime this week and you're free to drive mine. I have the Baer set-up. 14" fronts with 2 piston calipers and 11" rear rotors with stock calipers.

Out of curiosity, do the Marauders utilize a brake proportioning valve, or does it have electronic brakeforce distribution(EBD)? If it has a proportioning valve, does that mean the valve will have to be adjusted or recalibrated once a front or rear brake upgrade has been done? If my Marauder ever shows up, a brake upgrade may be one of the first mods I do next to a metal matrix driveshaft since you can never have too much stopping power.

Todd, great pictures I will be awaiting your call.

Junehhan, I hope someone else can answer your quetion because I have always had a proportioning valve up until now. Now I don't know.

Marauder uses Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) which controls the rear brake pressure and acts as the proportioning valve. It is contolled by the antilock brake module
