Did you feel that??
I was awakened at 5:03 AM this morning when I heard a low rumble and then the whole house shook. Lasted about 10-15 seconds total. Went downstairs and turned on the TV to hear reports from throughout the area. US Geolologic Survey says it was a 3.6 magnitude earthquake centered around the Germantown, MD area.
CAM is shakin' today.
I am about 30 miles south and felt it pretty good. Pretty rare event around here.

JEEZ Charlie...I thought that you Army guys were early risers!
I was already awake (though still in bed...:D) when the house started rumbling and then shaking.
It felt like a 500 lb gorilla was running around downstairs.
Marianne asked "What was that??"
There were so many possible answers/jokes swirling in my head that I blurted out: "It must be an earthquake!"

It took me less than 24 hours to break that Nasty habit. :P

That ^^^^ is a pretty good description ... but I didn't hear any crashing or breakage to go along with it. :D

Yep, heard the windows rattling, wondered for a second what it was and then went back to sleep. :sleepy:
I was up at 4:45am and I didn't feel anything. But I'm in Ft Washington MD.

I must have felt it here in MA, because I woke up around that exact time and decided to take a pee... Never wake up at that time but I did this morning. Maybe I just had to pee really bad...

.... 3.6 magnitude earthquake ....
3.6?? Bah!! I laugh at your 3.6!
Wait 'til you've lived through a 7.8. AND a 7.4. AND a 7.1. (In three different years, of course.)
(remember - the Richter scale is infinite, as in there's no 'top number.')

I'm just glad that I wasn't on the 'porcelain throne' when it struck!
I would have been either very scared....or very proud!
