I owned one in 1962 for six months, Limestone, Me., stock, cherry (old school word). Didn't drive it but a few miles then the snows came, thawed it out spring of '63 and sold it for $100.00 (same amount I paid) because I was being transfered.

The classic beauty is still a sight to behold. There are some still out there for sale, Maybe.........?

Carburetor doesn't look OEM. Looks like a 4 barrel, mine was a two barrel.

Said he'd take $40,000 for it if I was interested.

4 barrel on a flathead, like triple carb set up better with chrome/alun. heads.. caddy hubcaps were hot in those days.!!.don't care for duals in bumper always a pain to keep clean ,but maybe to low, to have pipes out straight ? late model mirrors ? 12 volt/alt. ? air cleaner for emissions ? or blow by ? $ 40,000 don't think so ? still would be worth more, pure stock!! rkvette/ralph sr.
