Any one else watch this... and get scared?

Last night, I was watching "Repo man, stealing for a living" on TLC.
I was in shock as I watchec them use a tire grabbing unit that was in the back of a pickup truck, to snag and tow a car away in under 20 seconds!
The fear came to me when I realzed , that in the wrong hands, "Gone in 60 seconds" is too long!
I'm gonna park the MM in the garage backwards. Not to mention extend my closed circuit television system a bit more. The garage alarm will also ALWAYS be on.

In Philly a few years ago, they were stealing cars that way. The way they figured it out was they were the first or last cars parked on the block. They would just back the truck up and be gone!!! If you pull it from the front they just jump underneath and pull the shift cable off and put it in neutral!!!

There is no way possible to prevent a knowledgeable determined person if they set their mind to stealing your car.

I don't park my Marauder in public places. I'm either in it or it's parked in the garage.

Auto theft in my area is relatively low anyway. And when they do steal a car it's usually not a Marauder, Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis. They go for imports and SUVs. :)

I love your car RedMM, but I am wondering how good it would have looked with tan interior? What do you think? I had a Toreador Red Crown Victoria HPP back in 2001, and the tan interior looked good!

I was surfing around last night and caught the show. Did you see the one-knucklehead repo guy who allows the ex-owner of the car to come take his or her personal stuff out of the vehicle! Mr. Repo nice guy is going to end up doing that for the wrong person and they will crack his skull open! :help: :eek: :shake: :nono:

Aye Haggis, it's a good thing!! P74vic- I don't think the tan would have complimented the DTR as well as the charcoal(my first choice, actually, but not available at time of purchase) or the two tone charcoal/flint which I bought. On the GM or Crn Vic it's probably nicer because of the chrome, but with all the black trim on the outside, I think this is a sharper color combo. I think the black with charcoal interior is stunning, but shied away from it because of owning several black cars in the past and tiring of the time needed to keep them looking sharp(although the DTR shows dust and dirt about as bad!!!)
