Mine was half loose. One mounting point was broken. I used a little clear silicone glue when I replaced them and it holds tight as a drum and you can't see the silicone. This is a common problem for some reason. BradleyG has it too.
I replaced mine because one had water in it. The other one is totally fine and I still have it. I can make you a very good deal on it. Let me know.

I know exactly what Mac means being frustrated with his car, last night I had to grab my ipod out of the MM, and noticed the first button of the keypad doesn't light up! WTF..is it that difficult to get some half decent LEDs in there and under the cheapass window switches, cause apparently it is also a common problem? (Mine come on whenever it wants to) :shake:

I find these things as proof that we really do LOVE the car, because any other car and no one would think twice about getting rid of it with the problems it has.

Someone posted a thread about how another Ford vehicle's fog light assembly was essentially the same as a Marauders...yet 1/2 the cost.
Does anyone remember which car it was from?

Dude!
Look at the first to pictures in your first post. The foglight attaches to the bracket that has the flange sticking out of the bottom of it. The bracket is the black or dark grey piece and the foglight is the brown colored piece. Try separating them. I think there is 3 screws that hold the foglight in the bracket.

^^What he said. The first pic in your post has the foglight and the mounting bracket. remove the light, reinstall the bracket (in your pic), then a new foglight assembly. If your wiring harness is damaged rockauto.com has them for the foglight

Was your car in a accident before? I had this happen about three times, but this was after a few wrecks.... after the repairs...
In the end just bolt it back on. Maybe bigger screws from a hardware store will do the trick. I have a few screws from Menard's on my car due to these issues and the solution works. Stove bolts work great!

Assuming the fog light on the other side is not damaged use it as a guide to get the parts and reassemble the damaged fog light.
You are right, I would not be happy if my fog light was hanging out the car. The screws may have backed out or it may have had contact with something. I have never heard of this before.

It happened to my left side foglight. I purchased 2 new ones and converted them to HIDs.

it does look a little banged up huh, maybe to save a few bucks, just epoxy around the broken clips, and it should be ok to put back in the car, 2 weeks after I put 2 brand new lights in me car one got smashed.. now I have one new one and i put one of the old pitted ones back in. looks like crap.
