Guess this would be an option if you grenaded your present motor!

I was wondering when they were going to offer that badazz 5.0 engine as an FRPP crate motor.
It should be discounted to @ $6,000 by FRPP dealers soon.
That will put an N/A Marauder deep into the 12s....:bows:
I wish this crate motor was around years ago when I was pouring $8,000 into my big bore 5.0 engine....:o

I thought that I read that FRPP will offer various wiring harnesses for retrofits and street rods...:dunno:

You can already get harnesses and ECUs etc. from them. For a price. Ford seems to think their ECUs are plated in platinum last time I priced one. I suppose there will be plenty of crashed 5.0s out there soon enough though.

Hmm, hopefully the headers will fit, unlikely the 'deep' oil pan will fit our crossmember, but maybe. Then all the front cover stuff....
Someone else go first please!! :)

I think that instead of purchasing a super charger, its best to just purchase one o these engines. due the power thats its going to put out... just my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing....412 Hp, 7,000 rpm and better gas mileage to boot!.....

and then in the future purchasing one of the many S/C kits that are sure to come out for this engine.....:bows:

As juno noted...custom oil pan and headers are probably going to be necessary.
:hmmm:...although the new 5.0 has narrower cylinder heads and is not as wide an engine assembly as our older DOHCs.
Power steering is going to be a big problem, as the new Mustang has electric power steering and no provisions for a power steering pump on the front engine dress.

Well that is going to be a nice option. Interested to see how well/intricate the conversion goes and what rwhp it would produce on our platform?

I'd like one of these engines in a 05-09 modeled Mustang GT.

Now I have to reconsider that Aluminator I was going to get!

These will atleast bolt right up to the tranny. The headers supposedly need to be of a Two T set up because of the variable timing. I'm sure the steering could be worked out.

As for S/C. There has been a Jaguar model out now for atleast a year with a "all new 5.0 Variable timing", six speed trans, and oh yeah a S/C. Coincidence? :)

They will be available by 1st week in September according to Ford. I couldn't help but update them on my site.

Shelby already has a EPA approved low boost blower for this nasty 5.0 engine! (remember this is an 11:1 CR motor)

Only 512 HP & 430 FT-LBS
