Found THIS (http://mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=62719&highlight=suspension+lube&page=1) thread which is of some help, but I figured I would post a specific-to-my-car thread and see if anyone had any ideas besides spraying the s**t out of my car with WD-40... (and please, can we spare the "lube your rear end" jokes? I'm not Dom... :D)
The rear suspension, over the past week, has developed a squeak/creak noise. I notice it mostly when in reverse and braking (as in backing into my driveway), though I do hear it while moving forward too, sometimes. I can also duplicate this sound sometimes by pushing the rear of the car side-to-side.
I can't seem to get a handle on where this is coming from, whether it be control arms, or the air shock mounts, or something else.
Was thinking about going under the car with some chassis grease and trying to work that in all of the joints/bearings/etc., just to see if that would help. Seems like WD-40 would be too runny and wouldn't stick around long enough to be useful...
The car drives normally, feels just as awesome as it ever has. It just sounds kinda stupid now...
Anyone got input? Speak!

U-Joints also make squeak/creak noises like you've described.
if you can find Krown (similar to wd 40 but no scent and much better product) soak all bushings and inspect those ujoints

It's the sway bar.

This is the Krown you're talking about, right?

I checked their website (krown.com) for a dealer and it appears that it is a Canada-only product. :(
Thanks for the tips, anyway. I will check the U-joints, however in this case, what I am hearing when I push/rock the car side-to-side seems to be coming from the control arms and/or RAS components.
It's the sway bar. I like your thinking...will crawl under and check everything out in a day or two. I'd like to get this solved before the meet this weekend!!!

Hit the bushins and endlinks with marine grease. You will need to remove them to do it right.

And how many miles has been put on the car in that time frame? lol
I've had to mine 4 or 5 times in the course of 105k miles in the past 4 years.

Use grease as other members suggested.
WD-40 is good for identifying the noisy part(s) because you can easily spray it everywhere...but WD-40 is a lousy HD lubricant.
It was originally developed as a Water Displacement spray...not as a lubricant.
Plus, to do it right, you'll have to clean off the WD-40 from the parts before greasing them.

You guys are awesome. Thanks...unless it doesn't work. In that case, screw you all!

Well, I crawled under and lubed everything up (links, bushings) and sprayed the control arm bushings and stuff with WD-40.
Also removed the rear brake calipers and re-lubed those for good measure.
The squeak is still there, but now it seems to come and go once in awhile. Maybe the grease needs to work its way into some stuff, maybe not. If it keeps squeaking, maybe it will get loud to the point where I can actually identify what the hell is making the noise.
Otherwise, I will just turn the stereo up and forget about it...

Did you drop the sway bar and grease the inside of the bushin with marine grease? The end links need to be removed and put the grease between each little rubber piece and the end of the swaybar.
BTW you should never put WD-40 on anything thats rubber, use 100% silicone spray for rubber.
