Thanks, everyone. It was quite a birthday, in fact, the best I can remember. We were at the Cardinal Classic trap shoot at Maringo, OH, on the 22nd, where I won the Vet Class Handicap tournament with a 97x100, then went to Greenfield where the kids had a wonderful 70th party with all the trimmings, including John's world famous barbecued chicken. We had reservations for Paint Creek State park and spent the rest of the week on a beautiful site overlooking the lake, leaving for Snow Shoe early Saturday and got the trailer back to the shooting grounds at Elysburg this morning, for the Westy Hogans Shoot, next week. (500+mi via I-71 & I-80)

It's been a great shooting season for me, with six wins at major events in Pa & Ohio, in both singles and caps, and have a nice collection of trophies and All American Points for my efforts. I'll be shooting as a Sr Vet, starting the 1st of Sept. and went to AA class in singles, and from the 22 to the 25.5 yard line in caps. Not bad for an old coot. ...:gangster:

We miss you guys too; but being a pro at this game is a full time job. For instance, I brought back 1,300 empty hulls to load from the Ohio shoot. If anyone wants to get an idea of what trap shooting is about, Fri, Sat & Sunday, Sept 10,11, & 12th is the Westy Hogans at Elysburg, PA. (no spectator fees) It's not far from Bloomsburg, or Danville PA, south of I-80, with Knoble's Grove just two miles away. There's 48 trap fields/ 5 shooters each, shooting at 100 targets per competition. If you need shooting supplies, it's the place to get what you need at the best prices. Remembering though, powder comes in 8lb canisters and wads in lots of 5,000, and primers in lots of 5,000. Last time I came home with a ton of shot, which is mostly gone. :eek:
