When installing the eaton conversion what is done with the knock sensors at the block valley ? If they are disconnected how is that done ?

Unplug them from the main harness behind the driverside head.

If your removing them for good the tuner will have to shut them off on the tune.

Others have moved them from the valley to the back of the heads. I myself would scrap them....

knock sensors will not save your engine.

They are useless and normally are turned off, or the knock table is set to all 0's

Mine used to be relocated to the rear of my passenger's side head. When I upgraded to the Boss5.0 block I found that the mounting boss in the valley is low enough to clear the Cobra lower manifold so I put it there.

In both cases it is/was functional and NOT turned off in the tune.

Well there are no knock tables for cast iron blocks that I know of, and I could be wrong, thats why there turned off. And if you put knock sensors on the back of a cylyder head you will get false knock from the valve train. All this being said a car can be safely tuned with out them, but they are there in that position for a reason. The 03 Cobra Mustang is a cast block that's why there not there and the bosses would not clear the lower intake, if you run a alluminum block and could get them to clear I would run two and use a 04 ECM as my friend is doing witha 2V KB in a T Bird. Just my opinion.
