Looking over my new MM - on left side of frame between back tire and rear fender - a piece of orange tape with the words "Rear Suspension Loose". Do you think this was just an oversight at the plant, (someone forgot to take tape off)?
Anything I should be worrying about? I haven't mentioned it to the dealer yet.
I'm a little concerned, everything seems fine at the moment, only have 350 miles on it.
When I saw it the first thing I thought of was the little pieces of tape they put on clothes when you buy "seconds".

When the cars go down the line, some things get noted for attention, also during quality inspection. In all likelihood it was taken car of at the plant and they never took the tape off.
But. If your dealer did a good pre-delivery inspection, they should have found this piece of tape! I'd bring it to their attention to look at just to be sure the factory took care of it.

Wow, you got the "loose rear suspension" option. I couldn't afford it, so I settled for the base "tight rear suspension".
j/k ;)
Frankly, the older I get, I have that problem with a loose rear suspension. Come to think of it, the front ain't what it used to be, either!

What would take longer, affixing the tag or tightening the **** bolts?

To find that sticker? That's just funny. My dad never checked over a car like that. Just like he "never did none of that to any car" he ever had. Bugs me to no end.

RC - You are absolutly correct. Sounds like the dealer gave it the wash and go treatment. When picking up a new vehicle the first thing I do is check the oil level. You know most dealers won't.:(
