0-60 in 2.9 seconds, ka-blammo! (0-100kph in 3.07) Never heard of this car until today, it held the 0-60 crown for 12 years. It is a Ford. Can you guess it before opening the link?

I thought it was the RS200 but wasn't sure. I have always loved that car and actually got to see one in person in Las Vegas at the Imperial Palace Auto collection...

Those things a ****g sick. Add it to the list of "cool cars Ford never brought here" though.


Speaking of Gran Turismo and games, you can do something very funny regarding this car in Forza 3. A number of vehicles allow for engine and drive-type swaps (among other things) in the game, and Ford vehicles are included in that. This leads to hilarious setups like a Focus RS with a 5.0 Cammer engine and RWD conversion, and my personal favorite, one of the new Ford Fiestas with the RS200 powerplant and AWD. Nothing screams sleeper like a 900HP Fiesta with AWD. If only one could take that fantasy and make it reality... :(

I remember using this car a lot in Gran Turismo. I think it was this past weekend there was some show on Speed or History channel about the 70's and 80's rally cars, was pretty neat to watch. Ford was baller back then until Audi came out with it's Quattro.

That 0-60 time, man! Could you imagine messing with this car light to light? Imagine all the "what the..." looks on peoples faces. Between my house and where I work, the top posted speed is 45, this thing would be crazy fun to drive.
