Had to cut the end terminal for a ground wire that bolts to the front passanger side head. I beleive it is a 8 or 6 gauge wire. Where can I find a crimp tool large enough for such a gauge ?

Get a hammer crimper or a butane torch and a well style connector you can solder on.

Just an example to view. not endorsing the above site.

I have had success using an uninsulated terminal, or remove the insulation on an insulated terminal. My rachet type tool for #10 wire will then work. I then solder the crimped terminal and cover with heat shrink tubing shrunk over the crimp. My experience is that this provides a permanent factory appearing termination or splice. Hope this helps. Good luck.
