My exhaust is sound lazy when driving. It doesn't bring as much noise as it should. Gets quit after it gets to 2nd gear. I'm using the correct gas and just had an oil change. Still haven't gotten a tune-up. Any ideas?

One set of cats with straight pipes and resonator-delete on back from there.

Definitely will not sound lazy.

A plug change will totally awaken the car if the plugs need changing. Takes 40 minutes, tops. Your cats may be clogged after that many miles. Throw some new cats on (or delete) and wake that sucker right up.

I would do the tune up first. Just get some stock Motorcraft plugs for right now, GMS coil connectors (SummitRacing) and install a new Motorcraft fuel filter and see how it does then.

Don't skip on the regular maintenance of the car, it will help it last a lot longer. I've got 148k miles on mine now and still purrs like a baby tiger even with being daily driven for 3-4 years.
